Hi-Five, the R&B quintet that brought you the 1991 hit “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game),” returns with their newest record “Kit Kat.”
Written by Brian Adams and Billy Covington, “Kit Kat” is a smooth, mid-tempo record with sultry production.
With lyrics like, “Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat / Sweet chocolate I’m with that / I promise you that I won’t let it go to waste,” this song was definitely made for the bedroom.
“We wanted to give the song a slick-play on human’s addiction to chocolates and sweets and in this case it was the women’s kitty kat, being so good and powerful that the craving was unbearable,” said Billy on the group’s idea for the record.
In the coming weeks, the group will embark on a national promotional tour in support of the new single with stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Birmingham, Montgomery, Chicago, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
“Kit Kat” is the group’s first song since 2015’s “Sunshine” and their Christmas time record for the Toys For Tots Foundation.
