While we wait for Verse Simmonds to drop his new project, the singer-songwriter debuts a new song titled “In My Feelings.” The island flavored tune was produced by Supa Dups.
“A few people didn’t want this record to come out,” Simmonds revealed on Instagram. “The thing about me is that I’ve been the underdog my entire career to the point where people listen to what I do and remix, refix and readjust their approach to their records based on what I’ve done.”
He continues, “Since my name may not be as big as some of these other artist, a lot of things I’ve done have been overseen by the masses while inspiring other creators of music. As an artist I’ve always been OK with that because I’m here to inspire and move the culture forward. THE PEOPLE THAT KNOW, KNOW! If you’ve been rockin’ with me for a while you know what it is! And I thank you for your love and support.”
Simmonds is expected to release his upcoming album, All The Girls, this year.
“In My Feelings” follows Simmonds’ previously released songs “FU ILY,” “Best For You” and “Never Get Enough.”
