In preparation for his debut album, Toronto crooner Tory Lanez drops a bomb with “Flex.” With records like “Say It” and the dancehall inspired “LUV,” Lanez is determined to become the new Canadian star on the scene. Lifted from the forthcoming album, I Told You, “Flex” is a smooth track with a very calm production. On the boastful track, he sings about having to flex on everyone now that he’s got his success.
“So I gotta flex, I gotta flex, I gotta flex on you / For all of the times when I was a mess and you tried to flex on me too / So I gotta flex, and I gotta flex, and flexing on you too / I know I’m wrong tell me what I did to you,” he sings.
Along with the song, Lanez also revealed the artwork and tracklist for I Told You, which is set to release August 19 via Interscope Records/Mad Love. Surprisingly, the track list is devoid of any features, meaning Lanez will be the only voice on this project.
Lanez is also currently on the I Told You Tour for the forthcoming album, with stops like Lollapalooza and the Mad Decent Block Party in Brooklyn, New York.
I Told You is available for pre-order on iTunes.
