Singer-songwriter Lili K has released her new single “Magic” and its accompanying visual, co-directed by Addison Wright and J Frank. The soulful tune is the lead single from Lili’s forthcoming album, Planet of Flowers, which is slated to release in February 2017.
“I wrote ‘Magic’ as a powerful response to the misogyny that women deal with on a daily basis,” Lili K tells Rated R&B. “It serves as a reminder that women are truly magical. My sophomore album, Planet of Flowers, has been my favorite creative process thus far. My band and I threw genre out the window and made this album without any boundaries. Planet of Flowers definitely shows our growth and maturation since our last album.”
Lili K is known for collaborating with artists like Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa. In fact, she made Rolling Stone’s Best of 2013 for her work with Chance and Vic.
