Kenny Lattimore tries to save a failing relationship on his new single “Push.” On the R&B ballad with pop undertones, Lattimore sings asks his partner for another shot at love.
“I pushed you away / Worst move I’ve made for you / Gotta get you back / Can’t deny this pain,” Lattimore sings on the chorus.
Speaking on the song, Lattimore explained, “The sound doesn’t conform. One of the things that I did think about was staying true to myself and the other was the fact that I remember the eighties well. We wanted to create something contemporary and timeless.”
“Push” will appear on Lattimore’s forthcoming album, which is the follow-up to 2015’s Anatomy of a Love Song.
