BJ the Chicago Kid teams up with Lawrence Jones to plead his case on a new song simply titled, “I’m Sorry.”
Fostered by an electric guitar, the soulful crooner renders a heartfelt apology after realizing his extracurricular activities with another woman messed up a good thing with his then lover.
“Cause I didn’t mean to break your heart, I didn’t mean to break your heart,” sings a remorseful BJ.
“I’m Sorry” hasn’t been given an album home yet, but it might be a spoiler for his follow-up to 2016’s In My Mind which received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album in 2017.
BJ the Chicago Kid has been busy though. Last year, he remained booked by landing writing and vocal placements on albums by Goapele and Ledisi.
