Next month, Chloe x Halle will grace the stage at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards. The sister duo is scheduled to take the stage to perform “Warrior” from the A Wrinkle in Time soundtrack. They’ll also promote their debut album, The Kids Are Alright with a medley.
Halle shared what inspired them to pen “Warrior” for the Disney film in the April issue of NYLON magazine. “We watched the trailer for A Wrinkle in Time, the word that stood out to us was ‘warrior’ And we kind of just wrote a love letter to ourselves as young girls and what we want to be, and it came out to be ‘Warrior,’” said Halle.
Chloe x Halle are also nominated for Best Group at the 2018 BET Awards. Their critically-acclaimed debut album The Kids Are Alright is still receiving rave reviews.
Hosted by Tiffany Haddish, the MTV Movie & TV Awards will air on Monday, June 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles.
