As Ne-Yo gears up for the release of his Good Man album, he drops a new track called “Summertime.”
Supported by a range of complimenting instruments, the singer-songwriter navigates through the dark clouds of love until he and his lady make it to the sunlight.
Ne-Yo shared the story behind “Summertime” to fans on social media, calling the tune “an absolute VIBE.”
He added, “The guitars create a feeling that says ‘just ride’. A perfect song for hot summer days with the top off or the windows down and this song ALL THE WAY UP. A mellow smooth soundtrack for you, a special somebody and your summertime.”
“Summertime” will appear on his new album Good Man, which drops this Friday (June 8). The star-studded album will include previously released cuts “Apology,” and “Push Back” featuring pop singer Bebe Rexha and rapper Stefflon Don. The LP will also include his No. 1 single “Good Man,” which became his first-ever single to hit the top spot on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs chart.
