It looks like cuffing season will be lit this year. Ella Mai’s lovey-dovey single “Boo’d Up” is now certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with over 2 million units sold. The DJ Mustard-produced track originally went platinum on June 21.
“Boo’d Up,” which appears on Mai’s Ready EP, is currently No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on Urban Adult Contemporary radio.
Last week, Mai dropped a new single titled “Trip.” Next month, she is scheduled to perform alongside H.E.R. at the Best Life Music Festival in Miami.
