Ella Mai has trouble getting to sleep in the music video for her latest single “Trip.”
With her mind stuck on love, the British singer walks tirelessly to the record bin in a candlelit room to play the DJ Mustard single. As she sings next to the fire place, the guilty lyrics start to eat at Mai. Before long, she takes a midnight drive to her lovers home to sit in the car and reminisce on the love they had.
Jacquees and most recently, Tiffany Evans, have remixed “Trip,” which is No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The song, along with her smash hit “Boo’d Up,” will appear on her debut album, due later this year.
This fall, Mai will hit the road for select dates on the final leg of Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic Tour.
