Lalah Hathaway is out for revenge in the video for “call on me” featuring Redman.
After witnessing her on-camera man get killed by Redman and his group of bandits, Hathaway isn’t interested in grieving. Instead, she and her squad load their machine guns and other deadly weapons and pay one last visit to her man’s killers.
The remix to “call on me” featuring Redman is lifted from Hathaway’s honestly deluxe album, which dropped in late June. Along with the updated version, featuring production from Robert Glasper, Teddy Riley and The Twilite Tone, Hathaway released a short film to complement the new music.
Hathaway performed music from her album honestly for NPR’s Tiny Desk series this summer.
