As Jessie Reyez gears up to release her Being Human in Public EP next month, the Toronto native shares a new track titled “Dear Yessie.” Co-written by Reyez and Tim Suby, the track finds Reyez in a vulnerable state where she opens up about some intimate moments of her life.
“Thank God that this world’s been blessing me / And every now and then, I feel the world testing me / Fucked up when day ones start looking like the enemies / Fucked up when whiskey starts looking like the remedy I’m trying to share my life, but I’m precious with my energy,” she sings.
Being Human in Public is set to arrive on October 19 via FMLY/Island Records. The project will include previously released tracks “Fuck Being Friends,” “Body Count (Remix)” featuring Normani and Kehlani and “Apple Juice”
On October 11, she will launch her 31-date Being Human on Tour in Edmonton, Alberta and will hit major provinces/cities including Seattle, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Denver, Houston, Chicago and Baltimore, before wrapping up on December 3 in Reyez’ hometown of Toronto.
