Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih stormed Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night (Oct. 22) to perform “The Light,” the lead single from their joint project MihTy, due this Friday.
The performance saw the two R&B crooners shuffling across the stage as they both sang to a hyped-up audience.
Ty started the song off with his gravely yet well-rounded vocal range, building up the energy for Jeremih’s entrance. Thumpy Johnson entered mid-performance, adding a balance of soft and airy vocals to adorn Ty’s rasp.
“The Light” saw modest success on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, peaking at No. 27 in August.
The duo has unleashed a string of tracks, including “New Level” featuring Lil’ Wayne and their most recent, “Goin Thru Some Thangz.”
Despite their collaboration album on the horizon, Ty is still adamant about releasing his follow-up to his acclaimed 2017 album, Beach House 3. The LP received deluxe edition status in May.
Meanwhile, Jeremih is keeping his agenda more open due to the recent controversy surrounding him and Teyana Taylor.
