The enigmatic duo THEY. (Dante Jones and Drew Love) have enlisted rap stoner Wiz Khalifa for their newly-released track titled “What I Know Now.”
The song’s composition is mostly geared towards R&B with its booming baseline and sweeping percussion. There’s also small jolts of EDM music laden in the beat that help elevate the melody into something more unique.
“You don’t know what I’ve been going through, so who are you to judge me / Still don’t know if I believe there’s anything above me,” sings Love as he starts off the charismatic track with a bold declaration of doubt.
THEY., who is currently overseas on tour with 6LACK, has been shining brighter than ever since their song “U-RITE” got picked up by the NFL. The Los Angeles-based dyad is scheduled to release their EP Fireside on November 9 via Mind of a Genius / WBR. The project will feature guest appearances from Jessie Reyez, Jeremih, Ty Dolla $ign and others.
