H.E.R. is now a gold-selling artist. The mysterious singer’s most recent single “Focus,” off her self-titled project, is now certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with over 500,000 units sold. DJ Camper, who produced the single, shared the certification news on Instagram last Friday (Oct. 26).
“Focus” has definitely increased the ‘focus’ on H.E.R. Along with landing two number one songs (“Focus” and “Best Part” with Daniel Caesar) within weeks apart, the mysterious songstress has landed seven 2018 Soul Train Music Awards nominations. She leads this year with the most nominations.
H.E.R. is the latest act to be named Apple Music’s Up Next artist. The series, geared towards identifying and elevating rising global talent, is highlighting the rising star as she readies her new project, I Used To Know Her: Part 2, due November 2. H.E.R’s Up Next short film will be available exclusively on Apple Music on November 6. The trailer is below.
A week after the new music, the mysterious singer will embark on her I Used I to Know Her tour, with special guests R&B singers Bri Steves and Tone Stith. The tour will support of her latest extended play.
