‘NIGHT’ is coming. Maxwell has unleashed an enticing snippet of a new song titled “Shame” from the final installment of his blacksummers’NIGHT trilogy.
On the minute-long track, Maxwell berates a significant other for the fling they’re about to have.
There’s a transparency in the lyrics that Maxwell has often embraced in his career, but here we see an unapologetic nature to his madness. It gives a bit more edge to Maxwell’s gentlemen persona.
As of right now, there is no release date for “Shame” or the upcoming LP, blacksummers’NIGHT. But in the interim period, folks can checkout Maxwell’s newly re-released Embrya record from 1998 or see him out on tour this fall with Marsha Ambrosius.
Maxwell is currently lighting up stages across the U.S. for his 50 Intimate Nights Live.
