Mariah Carey is in the giving spirit. Just moments after sharing the track list for her upcoming album, Caution, the R&B icon has released a new track titled “A No No.”
On the midtempo bop — which samples Lil Kim’s 1996 hit “Crush On You (Remix)” featuring Lil Cease and Notorious B.I.G. — Carey dismisses an ex who wants to get her back after doing her wrong.
“I ain’t even mad / No not like befo’ / Off with your head / Now slither out the door / Snakes in the grass / It’s time to cut the lawn,” Carey bluntly sings.
“A No No” was co-written by Carey and Priscilla Renea. Carey mentioned on Twitter that the song is about “girl power” and she had “so much fun in the studio.”
Caution will arrive everyone on November 16. The 10-track album will feature guest appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Gunna, Slick Rick and Blood Orange.
In February 2019, Carey will launch the North American leg of her Caution World Tour.
