6LACK is in spirit of giving. The mellow singer has shared an lengthened version of “Unfair,” which opens his sophomore album, East Atlanta Love Letter. The extended version of the sound track goes on another two minutes, allowing 6LACK to get his point across to his lover.
On top of the updated version of “Unfair,” the Atlanta songster drops a new original song titled “Been a While.” The trippy tune finds 6LACK trying to make sense of an old flame popping back up in the picture after his come up.
6LACK is still cruising the nation on his East Atlanta Love Letter Tour. The trek will conclude on December 23 in his hometown Atlanta. While on the road, 6LACK picked up a 2019 Grammy nomination for “Pretty Little Fears” featuring J. Cole.
6lack recently spoke to Billboard about why he considers his follow-up to FREE BLACK the best R&B album of 2018. “I had stories to tell and I knew I wasn’t going to just give fans the bare minimum,” he expressed to the publication. “I was going to give the stuff that might make someone call me and be angry and leave a crazy voice message or text me something wild. I gotta tell stories, because people need to hear them, and people need to know that someone else is going through the same stuff. It makes the show better. People are singing, people are crying, people are laughing. The shows are a whole entire experience and it wouldn’t be that if my songs were just bare minimum.”
