Open the velvet rope, Miss Jackson is coming through. On Thursday morning, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced it will finally induct Janet Jackson into the class of 2019.
The long-overdue headline comes 11 years after her eligible period began in 2007, and her third RRHF nomination since 2016. Not long after the news broke, the global icon hopped on social media to express her heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the voting process.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2019 ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, will take place on March 29, 2019, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
