DAWN is on the promo tour to promote her forthcoming album, new breed. The fierce songster ventured to Paste Magazine’s hub for an unplugged performance of “Jealousy.”
Making her small show quarters work, DAWN, who is styled in a red and black flannel overcoat and gaudy shades, playfully sings the resentful tune with help from a special effects microphone and lightweight keyboard notes.
Slated to arrive on January 25, 2019, new breed will mark DAWN’s first album since 2016’s Redemption.
“I debated about putting out another project because being indie is not easy,” DAWN expressed in a heartfelt statement. “I went back home to New Orleans and realized how much this city has shaped me into the woman i am and how much i missed the girl i was before the industry shit. so here is a small project about what it means to be a ninth ward girl from Jonlee before the industry shit.”
