The first batch of performers for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards has been revealed. Janelle Monáe, who is nominated for Album of the Year (Dirty Computer) and Best Music Video (“Pynk”), will bring an R&B presence on music’s biggest night in February.
Monáe is no stranger to cutting a rug on stage. She made her Grammy stage debut in 2011, performing a medley with Bruno Mars and B.o.B. With all the stunning visuals Monáe released last year, it will be exciting to see how she brings her songs to life on the stage.
Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Dan + Shay, Post Malone and Shawn Mendes have also been announced as performers for this year’s ceremony.
The 2019 Grammy Award nominations were revealed last December with H.E.R., Childish Gambino and PJ Morton as top nominees. Hosted by Alicia Keys, the Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 10, at 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST.
