The solo, which spans over six minutes, features Keys in a true soul form. Mirroring the brilliant lyricism of her past works, “Raise a Man” translates the warm feeling Keys feels inside knowing that she has a found who’s been taught to love his woman. She muses that the way he adores her teaches her how to “love so deep.”
It’s unclear if “Raise a Man” will appear on Keys’ next album. She mentioned on Instagram that she wants to have fun with her fans. The record is her first official track since 2016’s HERE. The LP, which included the A$AP Rocky-assisted single “Blended Family,” debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with 54,600 equivalent units sold.
“My next body of work is already in the works,” said Keys to Entertainment Tonight in 2017 about her seventh album. “I’m excited. I can’t wait for you to hear new music. So, that’s one of the reasons why I won’t be able to come back next season.”
