It’s happening. Khalid has been announced as the latest act to serve as the musical guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. The Grammy-nominated artist will hit the Studio 8H stage on March 9 alongside actor Idris Elba as the special guest host.
After hearing the March lineup announcement, Khalid replied to the tweet with two crying face emojis. He also teary-eyed about his latest Billboard achievement.
For the current tracking week, Khalid’s latest tracks “Better” and “Talk” control the top two positions on the Hot R&B Songs chart. This success makes him the third artist besides Drake and The Weeknd to command the No. 1 and No. 2 spots concurrently.
Earlier this week, Khalid shared a video for his “Saturday Nights (Remix)” with Kane Brown. The original version is lifted from his Suncity EP, which was dropped in October 2018.
