A party ain’t a party until Avery Wilson comes through. The gifted vocalist has released a visual for his FYI single “WassTheMove.”
The wild clip follows Wilson as he gets ready for a night out on the town. After he gets snazzy in some fly gear, Wilson rolls up to a club where he makes a grand entrance. Before ladies start to flock to his section, he busts out a few high-energy dance moves with a couple of buddies. Jon Primo, the director of the flashy video, definitely captures Wilson in his most turned-up state.
“Wass the Move” is the first track from his FYI EP to receive a video. Wilson spoke to Rated R&B about the personal project last fall.
“I think the biggest relief for me and my music is that it is all honesty and right there in the moment. I’m not about to sugarcoat how I feel,” he told Rated R&B about his writing on FYI. “Every time I wrote anything for FYI, it was just to tell myself that, “Hey bro. You need to be honest and get over this shit or you need to be strong enough to realize where you are and deal with the cards that you were dealt.”
Wilson also mentioned that he is ready to create more “amazing moments on wax” this year. He is currently working on a new project tentatively titled 834. He released a steamy clip on Instagram of him in the shower singing a future song.
