Legendary singer Dionne Warwick has new music on the way. The Grammy-winning songstress has announced her 36th studio album, She’s Back, will arrive on May 10 via Kind Music Group/Entertainment One.
Warwick enlisted her son Damon Eliot to handle production on the album. The lead single is an updated version of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David classic, “What The World Needs Now Is Love,” which Warwick originally recorded in the 1960s.
She’s Back will include ten new songs and duets with Kenny Lattimore (“What Color Is Love”), Musiq Soulchild (“Am I Dreaming?) and Krayzie Bone of Bone, Thugs & Harmony (“Déjà Vu”).
If that’s not enough, the album will be packaged with a bonus disc of remastered songs from Warwick’s 1998 album, Dionne Sings Dionne, which features some of her greatest hits including “Walk On By” and “I Say A Little Prayer For You.”
She’s Back is Warwick’s first dedicated R&B/soul album in fifty years, since her 1969 Scepter Records effort Soulful.
On April 4, Warwick will kick off her Las Vegas residency at the Jubilee Theater at Bally’s. The string of shows will conclude on April 27.
