Normani is in a lane of her own. Ahead of joining Ariana Grande on her Sweetener Tour, the rising solo act and 6LACK visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night to perform their sultry collaboration, “Waves.”
Sticking to a black dress code, Normani took center stage while four enchanting dancers stood nearby in the foggy stage shadows. After the ladies got into formation and hypnotized audiences at home and onsite with their seductive dance moves, 6LACK joined Normani on-stage before disappearing like the phantom of the opera.
“Waves” is just one of Normani latest singles taking the world by storm. Her duet “Dancing with a Stranger” with Sam Smith stands at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 after eight weeks on the chart. The record also peaked at No. 3 on the Official UK Top 40 chart.
In between working on her highly-anticipated debut album, Normani has been seen rehearsing for supporting role on Grande’s upcoming world tour. The first show kicks off on March 18 in Albany, N.Y. at Times Union Center.
