Sunshine Anderson tried to tell us that she “Heard It All Before,” now Dinah Jane is here to reiterate it. The former Fifth Harmony songstress has unleashed a visual for her latest single, which is lifted from her three-song EP, Dinah Jane 1.
The video shows Jane spending much-needed time with her girls while her no-good lover continues to blow up her phone. “Yea I heard it all before / ‘Girl, you’re all I need’ / Boy I heard it all before / So, save yo energy / For the next bitch / Cuz she just ain’t me,” she sings on the chorus.
“Heard It All Before” is the opening track on Dinah Jane 1. The no-features project also includes a pop-friendly ballad “Pass Me By” and the highly-personal “Fix It.” The latter track is about family issues.
Speaking on the tune, Jane told Billboard, “I’m a very family person. I’ve lived with them all my life. My whole career has always been about helping them, and now that I’m branching off and releasing my own projects, I’ve been focusing more on myself and they’ve been so supportive. After they heard ‘Fix It,’ it kind of hit a nerve and also opened up their eyes as well. They were like, ‘Sorry that I did this to you, sorry that you went through this, and sorry we put you through that while you were traveling the world.'”
