A new era has begun for Fantasia. After teasing her new single “Enough” last week, the First Lady of Rock Soul has unwrapped the highly anticipated track.
On the electric guitar-driven track, Tasia sings about being madly in love. “I’m drawn to you like a moth to a flame / And I’ll risk it all for you, baby, no, I ain’t got no shame,” she sings.
In addition to Fantasia’s new tune, she also has premiered the accompanying video that was directed by Derek Blanks. The monochromatic clip opens with Fantasia greeting her fans as she walks into a venue to perform for them. Later in the visual, Tasia shows off her dance skills with her partner as they perform choreographed moves in the rain.
“Enough” is the lead single from Fantasia’s forthcoming album that she plans to release independently. It will follow her 2016 effort, The Definition Of…, which she worked closely with Ron Fair.
Although Fantasia has been mum about any details about her new album, she did tease a new track that features R&B vocalists Brandy and Jazmine Sullivan. Speaking on the unheard tune, Fantasia said, “I wanted to kind of reach back and touch some different eras when it came to that girl group. I was like, ‘Wouldn’t it be dope if we had a girl group where it was Jazmine, Fantasia, and Brandy?’ Let’s just put it on an album.”
