Just in time for their upcoming Essence Music Festival performance this year, The Hamiltones return with a heartache ballad titled “Pieces.”
Over a smooth production, the contemporary soul trio addresses the romantic strifes with their respective lovers. Each R&B gent is seemingly remorseful for their damaging actions, which can be heard in their hurt and passionate runs.
Along with the guilt-ridden track, The Hamiltones share a simplistic video to go along with it.
“Pieces” is the first offering off their debut EP, Watch The Ton3s, due June 7. A month later, the Grammy-nominated vocal trinity will be a part of PJ Morton’s mysterious live album that will be recorded at the 2019 Essence Festival.
The Hamiltones lent their amazing voices to the studio and live version of Morton’s Grammy-nominated Gumbo album. Meanwhile, the North Carolina-based group has been working with their mentor Anthony Hamilton for some time, appearing on the title track of his What I’m Feelin’ album.
