Khalid is ready to put on for his hometown. The global superstar has announced an official date for his benefit concert to honor the lives lost in the tragic El Paso, Texas mass shooting on August 3.
Scheduled to take place on September 1, the Grammy-nominated artist will host A Night for Suncity with special friends at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas. Khalid will donate funds raised from this show to support the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation.
“I have been rocked to the core by the horrific act of gun violence that came to El Paso, and by the continued acts of senseless violence that our country faces daily,” said Khalid in a statement. “I want to give back to my community of El Paso, the city of the 915, who has given so much to me. Please come out and let’s heal together through music while raising money to help those who need it.”
Tickets for A Night for Suncity are now on sale at LiveNation.com. Beyond the concert, more can be done for this cause. Please visit www.thegreatkhalidfoundation.org for more information on how you can donate directly.
