Daniel Caesar is a skywalker. The Grammy winner went to infinity and beyond on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night to perform his seraphic standout “Cyanide.”
Surrounded by four harmonious Black angels, Caesar took the mic on the firmament-inspired platform to sing unto the masses about admiring the beauty of his “rich dark chocolate, sweet melanin” woman.
“Cyanide” appears on Caesar’s sophomore set Case Study 01, which was released in late June. The album features guest appearances from John Mayer, Pharrell Williams, Sean Leon, Jacob Collier and Brandy.
His latter duet partner makes an appearance on “Love Again,” which is the lead single for both of their respective projects. The song stands at No. 10 on urban adult contemporary radio.
Caesar, who is currently on a supporting world tour, is set to perform at H.E.R.’s self-curated Lights On Festival in September. He also is joining Solange, Blood Orange, Summer Walker, and other R&B acts for Tyler, The Creator’s 2019 Camp Flog Gnaw Festival in November.
