Life can be hard, but we have all the power to make it through. Kiana Ledé shows her fans how to press on during difficult times in her “Heavy” new video.
As she roams New York City, Ledé takes candid moments to reflect on her personal journey, as she confronts depression head on in the gloomy visual. There is a genuine pain behind her beautiful eyes in the emotional shots that we all have faced at one time or another.
“Everyone can relate to that feeling of heaviness,” wrote Ledé about the music video on Instagram. “Climbing out of depression can be so hard. Finding lightness is part of the journey and I am on it with all of you.”
“Heavy” featuring Jennifer Lewis is one of the six tracks on her EP Myself, which dropped in June. She already released a sexy video for “Bouncin” featuring Offset.
This fall, Ledé will kick off off her Myself Tour. The 22-city run starts on September 1 in Seattle and wraps up on October 19 in Honolulu. In between her headlining tour, she will perform on September 14 at H.E.R.’s self-curated Lights On Festival.
Grab some tissue, this video is a real tearjerker.
