Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Lonr. makes his formal introduction as an artist with his debut record “A.M.”
The upbeat production of the track could certainly take the place of coffee in the morning. “I wanted to do it big,” Lonr. explained in a press statement. “I wanted to party. My music can be serious, but there’s also a fun side—there are many sides to my personality. You hear it on ‘A.M.'”
“A.M.” is the first single from Lonr.’s upcoming project, Land of Nothing Real, which is set to arrive this fall on Epic Records.
Speaking on his debut project, he said, “I always zone out and go into my own little world. That’s the Land of Nothing Real. If you don’t like where you are, you can escape into another realm. This project is really about love, longing and desire. Those topics are always on people’s minds. I’m examining them with melodic and dreamy songs.”
Lonr. may not be known just yet but his contributions to today’s music can not go unnoticed. He became a frequent collaborator with R&B starlet H.E.R. He co-penned a handful of her tracks including “As I Am,” “Feel A Way,” “Hopes Up,” “Free,” “Take You There,” “Going” and “More.”
On Saturday (Sept. 14), Lonr. will perform at H.E.R.’s self-curated Lights On Festival in Concord, California. He will perform alongside Jhené Aiko, Ari Lennox, Daniel Caesar, Lucky Daye, Kiana Ledé, Marc E. Bassy and H.E.R.
