Raphael Saadiq keeps the momentum going for his Jimmy Lee album with a music video for “So Ready.”
The main character of this video is the on-screen addict from Saadiq’s “Something Keeps Calling” video, who is likely portraying the musician’s fallen brother.
During his neighborhood scroll to deliver a mysterious package, he encounters a woman that appears to be sober. He later runs into her again, but she looks disheveled. The addict’s final trip is a trap house where many of the visitors are doped up.
Like the “Something Keeps Calling” picture, Saadiq isn’t seen much at all. He shows up behind the addict at the drug den to watch over him.
The video for “So Ready” comes fresh off the heels of Saadiq’s 2020 tour announcement. The soul man will begin his month-long Jimmy Lee Tour on January 23 in San Diego and will wrap up on February 29 in Los Angeles. Additional dates and ticket information can be found here.
Saadiq will also support his latest album overseas this fall. The abroad tour kicks off on October 16 and ends on October 28. Tickets are available on his official website.
