Emerging singer TeaMarrr has signed a record deal with Emmy-nominated actress/producer Issa Rae’s Raedio and Atlantic Records.
TeaMarrr begins her new chapter with a fresh and catchy song titled “Kinda Love,” produced by Noize Beatz.
“I want people to heal themselves with my sound,” TeaMarrr says. “I hope they walk away thinking, ‘TeaMarrr is my new musical pharmacist.’”
She continues, “My catalog will heal whatever mood you’re in; if you’re in a lovey-dovey vibe put on ‘Kinda Love.’ If you’re angry at your ex and don’t understand why he couldn’t have done the one thing you asked him to, I definitely have a song for that too. Think of me as the sonic doctor prescribing music as medicine to help you heal.”
In addition to her song release, TeaMarrr also shared the official companion video that was directed by Child (Lucky Daye, Ari Lennox). It features cameos from Rae and comedian Jessie Woo. The video can be viewed above.
Rae is no stranger to music. Her hit HBO series, Insecure, has featured songs recorded by artists of all levels, including newcomers.
“Music has always been an essential part of every project I do and working with emerging talent is a personal passion,” says Rae. “Raedio allows me to continue that work within the music industry and audio entertainment space. The Atlantic Records team are innovators in terms of shifting and shaping culture. I’m excited to join forces with them to discover new artists.”
