Sometimes we lose ourselves for the sake of love. Janine sensuously sings about this harsh love truth on her newest single “Broke Me Down.”
This reflective recording finds Janine tacking her floating harmonies to a lush ambient backdrop to find refuge from the emotional bondage of a heartless lover.
“Broke Me Down” is the third track from Janine since departing from Atlantic Records and going independent this year. She previously released a sexier version of “Vacation” and an updated rendition of “Never the Right Time.”
The original version of the latter song appeared on her debut album, 99, which dropped in May 2018.
Janine, who is featured on Rayven Justice’s latest EP, is currently polling her followers on Instagram about where to perform next. She played a few spot dates over the summer to reintroduce herself as an indie artist.
