All hail the Queen of Christmas.

Mariah Carey’s modern holiday classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” moves from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

This feat comes 25 years after the song’s original release. It appeared on her groundbreaking holiday album, Merry Christmas.

This feat didn’t come easy for Carey. She put in work. On November 1, she released a deluxe anniversary edition of Merry Christmas to commemorate the album’s 25th anniversary. The project includes the original album, plus a special bonus disc that includes rare remixes, unreleased live tracks from Carey’s 1994 St. John the Divine Concert.

On November 22, Carey kicked off a five-date All I Want for Christmas Is You Las Vegas residency, before launching her All I Want For Christmas Is You Tour.

The singer also teamed up with Amazon Music for a mini-documentary, Mariah Carey is Christmas: The Story of “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

That’s not all. Carey starred in a Walkers chips commercial, which featured her Christmas standard.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” is Carey’s 19th single to hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart, breaking her tie with Elvis Presley who has 18 number ones. Carey follows just one single behind The Beatles who have 20 number-ones.
