Canadian singer-songwriter Jon Vinyl is back with “Moments,” a sleek new addition to his collection of stand-alone jams.
Written by Vinyl and songwriter GOVI, “Moments” details his plan to woo his woman. It is a modern-day serenade set over an upbeat, yet chill trap production. Vinyl appreciates the fact that his love interest is independent, adding to this list of his infatuations of her.
Vinyl opens the track with, “I know a pretty young thing and she brought the commas / She put in work, do overtime because she gotta profit / She says it’s fine where she stays / yeah, she be tryna push me away.”
“This single is inspired by the many ‘Moments’ of pursuit that occur between lovers,” Vinyl tells Rated R&B. He continues, “At its core, ‘Moments’ is about letting your significant other lay their stress and problems on you, in order to relieve them from carrying the burden alone.”
“Moments” is Vinyl’s first release of 2020 following a series of provocative singles in 2019, including “Adore,” “Work,” and his debut EP Dangerous.
