Accomplished singer-songwriter Syleena Johnson returns with Woman, her first solo album in three years.
With features from Raheem DeVaughn and 112’s Q Parker, Johnson’s 10th studio album is an ode to womanhood, self-love and perseverance.
“You gotta think like a woman, but act harder than a man / Show love like a woman, but take advantage like a man,” Johnson sings on the title track, detailing her message of female empowerment.
“We are in the era of the ‘Woman.’ Brace yourselves, people, because this is our moment. This album, I made it for us,” the Grammy-nominated songstress says on her talk show Sister Circle.
Johnson began promoting the album back in 2019 with the release of the single and video for her song “Freelance Lover.” Johnson also inked a deal with Entertainment One in 2019.
