Rising R&B singer/songwriter Pink Sweat$ has inked a deal with Atlantic Records. He joins an all-star roster of artists including Lizzo, Bruno Mars, Janelle Monáe, Trey Songz, Kehlani, Tank and more.
The Philadelphia native also has released his new heartfelt single titled “17.” The romantic tune, which is the lead single from Sweat$’ forthcoming debut album, celebrates unconditional and longstanding love.
“So promise you’ll never change / And I’ll always be the same / We’ll be dancing the same groove / When we’re 92 / The same as seventeen / And I’ll never lie to you / Just don’t you hold back on me / I want to love you / As strong when we’re 92,” he sings.
Sweat$ tells Rated R&B, “’17’ is a song about love in its purest form, in its most vulnerable form. It’s about expressing to someone that you don’t want to be a moment in their life, you want to be a part of the long run.”
The fresh track also comes with an accompanying visual, which can be viewed above.
Sweat$ made waves in 2018 when he released his breakout hit “Honesty,” which has garnered over 130 million streams on Spotify to date. Since then, he’s released two critically-acclaimed EPs Volume 1 and Volume 2.
