As The Weeknd gears up to release his new album, After Hours, he shares the title track.
The six-minute track (which was co-written by Belly, Mario Winans, Noah Sammak, DaHeala, Illangelo and The Weeknd) finds the Candian singer opening up about a failed relationship. He takes the blame for things not working out, as he tries to reconcile.
“Where are you now when I need you most? / I’d give it all just to hold you close / Sorry that I broke your heart,” he croons. “I’ll treat you better than I did before / I’ll hold you down and not let you go.”
After Hours, the album, is set to release on March 20 via The Weeknd XO/Republic Records. It will include his certified-platinum tracks “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless.” The latter tune reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
On March 7, The Weeknd will make his third appearance as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
