It looks like talent in the Norwood family is hereditary. Sy’rai Smith, the daughter of Grammy-winning legend Brandy, blooms on her debut single “At Your Best.”
Produced by Genius and Tubbsmuzik, the song interpolates the evergreen 1994 Aaliyah song of the same name as Sy’rai gives the slow jam a well-suited up-beat facelift.
The song features a break-beat opening, eventually building into a melodically-driven mid-tempo jam.
Norwood took to Instagram to congratulate and show support of Sy’rai’s debut. “Please check out my baby girl @syraismith ‘s new song #atyourbest produced by my nephew @avgaaron link in my bio. God Bless you all on this great Friday. Angelic voice. Mama loves you.”
While the world can finally enjoy Sy’rai’s debut, this is not the first the musical prodigy has gifted her angelic vocals to the world. Fans of Norwood have often praised Sy’rai’s vocal ability.
