In honor of TDE Appreciation week, the record label released SiR‘s latest track “Rapper Weed” featuring Boogie.
Taking producer credit as well, SiR approaches the track with the form of a rapper but delivers an R&B sound. The slightly somber sounding track embodies a smooth west coast vibe with ample bass and hi-hats.
With a slight nod to Boyz II Men, he sings on the first verse, “Clear skies, white walls / Sunset in my rearview as the night falls / Listenin’ to old Kanye feelin’ like new Kanye (Hey-hey-hey) / My life in harmony like two Wanyá’s (Okay).”
The Inglewood singer recently released the animated video for “John Redcorn,” inspired by the animated sitcom King of the Hill.
