Rising R&B star Amber Mark is giving “quarantine vibes” a whole new meaning with a new track called “Waiting (Demo),” as part of her COVERED-19 series.
At just under two minutes, the soulfully-serene track makes use of Mark’s smooth, yet powerful voice and nostalgic musical style as she vows to wait for her lover.
“Waiting (Demo)” follows Mark’s cover of the Nirvana’s 1993 grunge hit “Heart-Shaped Box.” the first track in her COVERED-19 series in which she plans to record and release a new song every two weeks while in quarantine.
“I kept hearing stories from friends about how sad they were cause either they had just started seeing someone or couldn’t be with the ones they love during the social distancing,” Mark said about the song’s inspiration in an Instagram post.
Mark’s COVERED-19 follows a series of singles including “Generous” earlier this year and “No Bus” back in 2019.
