Jhené Aiko has earned another plaque. The singer-songwriter’s latest album, Chilombo, is now certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America with over 500,000 equivalent units sold.
There’s more to celebrate, though. “B.S.” featuring H.E.R. has also been certified gold. It’s now the third song from the album to reach this milestone. Her Big Sean-assisted track “None of Your Concern” and the dreamy “P*$$Y Fairy” struck gold in March.
Chilombo released on March 6 via Def Jam. The project features additional features from Nas, John Legend, Future, Miguel, Ty Dolla $ign, Ab-Soul, Dr. Chill and MicahFoneCheck.
The album made history-making headlines on the Billboard 200 chart. With 152,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week, Chilombo marked the highest-opening sales by a female R&B artist since Beyoncé’s Lemonade in 2016.
In other news, Aiko recently teased a deluxe edition of Chilombo that is expected to arrive sometime this month.
