Jhene Aiko Chilombo

Weeks after releasing her anticipated Chilombo album, ‎Jhené Aiko has earned herself a pair of gold single accolades from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Her Big Sean-assisted track “None of Your Concern” and the dreamy “P*$$Y Fairy” are now both certified gold, with over 500,000 equivalent units sold.

The gold recognition for the two Chilombo cuts follows the platinum award of the epic poem “Triggered (Freestyle)” in which Aiko received in December 2019.

Aiko’s latest feature-heavy album just made history-making headlines on the Billboard 200 chart. Selling 152,000 equivalent album units in its first week, Chilombo marked the highest-opening sales by a female R&B artist since Beyonce’s Lemonade in 2016.

The Def Jam signee is slated to promote her new album on The Magic Hour Tour, with special guest Queen Naija later this spring. Aiko hasn’t given an update yet on if the tour has been officially cancelled or postponed amid the coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic.
