It’s been five long years since Avant released his The VIII album. The R&B veteran looks to reaffirm his position as “the new voice of ghetto soul” with his forthcoming album Can We Fall In Love.
The new album is due out July 10 via SRG-ILS Group / Mo-B Entertainment. The 10-track set will include a guest appearance from Grammy-winning musician Robert Glasper on a track titled “Take it Slow.”
Avant also has shared his latest single “Edible” from Can We Fall In Love. On the savory serenade, the romantic crooner finds himself having a hankering taste for his woman’s sweetness.
He boasts about his lovemaking skills, insisting that he has what it takes to “knock you back to the future.”
The appetizing song follows the lead single “Not Gone Lose,” which was released spring of last year.
