UMI has spent the last few weeks whetting music fans’ appetite with how she sees life through her lens of different tracks. Now, the reflective singer-songwriter has released her anticipated new record Introspection.
The six-track project features UMI’s already-released title track, as well as “Open Up” and “Pretty Girl hi!”.
Yakob, Danny McKinnon, Louie Lastic, Austin Ward, Patrick Hewlett and more contribute to the songwriting and production of Introspection.
“Now more than ever, we are being asked to go within. I created this project with the intention to evoke introspection, both in myself and in the listener,” UMI explains.
She continues, “Introspection is a reflection of my inner journey over the past year, embodying my growth. I’ve never been more honest in my writing, and the sonics of the project are a reflection of me, all of me.”
