A week ahead of their forthcoming EP, 112 — now comprised of Slim and Mike — kick promotion into high gear with a new song called “For Us.”
The musical pair bring their classic smooth sound to this hip-hop soul cut, vowing to do what it takes to turn a rocky relationship around.
“Starting today, let’s take this vow / We gotta change things, right here and now,” Slim sings. “Can’t let our love, fall to the ground / I promise to never let you down / Every night I pray / Wishing tomorrow’s a better day.”
They also shared an official music video for the EP’s second single, which is directed by Damien Sandoval. Watch the dance-heavy, the black-and-white clip above.
On August 28, 112 Forever will be available on digital platforms everywhere. It will include their already-released track “Spend It All.”
Speaking to Rated R&B about the EP takeaway, Mike said, “Regardless of the circumstances, we were still able to entertain and give you a great project.”
He continued, “We can’t wait to put this EP out because all of that is emblematic of our willingness and just want to make sure the fans get their money’s worth. I can’t do a throwaway album. We are one of those groups that can’t afford to put out any bullshit.”
