Someone call a beautician because Lyrica Anderson is having a Bad Hair Day.
The singer/songwriter and reality star returns with her first full-length album in nearly two years. It serves as the follow up to 2018’s Strength.
“This album is extremely personal to me for a handful of reasons,” Anderson said in a statement. “For one, it signifies the first time I took full control over my sound as well as my story. This time around I’m willing to share my truth and vulnerability with THE WORLD!!! ‘Bad Hair Day’ is an idiom that things aren’t always perfect in life, especially in relationships. Life is just like hair; you have good hair days and bad ones.”
Bad Hair Day is a 12-track album that delves deep on topics of love and heartbreak. The Altariq Crapps-produced opener “Crashing Planes” sets the tone of the album, exploring relationship deceit and its sole contributor.
“Notice Me,” a bass-heavy track, focuses on the attention Anderson is yearning for from her lover. She threads lyrics about lovemaking and true commitment on “Faithfully.”
Bad Hair Day also includes the previously released tracks “Marriott” and “Act A Fool.” The former, which has an emancipating feel, is one of the project’s standout.
